DIY Cine Film editing
To edit your cine films you will need a computer with editing software installed, the most popular for Windows based systems are Windows Movie Maker, Adobe Premier Elements and Corel VideoStudio. These edit system use AVI files which we can provide on a supplied hard drive or USB stick. Each hour/800ft is about 12GB.
For Apple users, iMovie is the supplied video editing software or you can upgrade to Final Cut Express or Final Cut Pro. These edit systems use QT (.mov) files which we can also supply in the same way as AVI.
If you have a miniDV camcorder which you can connect to your computer then we also supply your cine transfer to tape.
We can also supply the files on a DVD ROM as AVI or QT but please note this is not suitable for large quantities as only 15mins/200ft will fit on a DVDROM.
Professional Cine Film editing
The best way for us to edit for you is to carry out the cine transfer to DVD in the normal way and then ask you to send us an email with the timings to re-order your films. Timings are displayed on DVD players and DVD playing programs on a computer. Each reel will be marked with an invisible chapter for easy access.
We need the instructions in the following format.
First frame description HRS:MIN:SEC to HRS:MIN:SEC last frame description

Girl in Red coat 00:04:32 to 00:09:08 man with hose pipe
Boy on bike 00:18:14 to 00:22:41 Rose

If your editing requirements are more complex then you will need to make an appointment and come in to sit with our editor.
