As part of Excelsior Films Ltd we have been transferring films since 1986 always keeping pace with the latest technology to ensure the very best results for our clients. Film transfer is overseen by Paul McGrath who hasbeen involved with film since childhood and has a large personal archive of 8mm & 16mm cine films.
Over the years we have transferred many small collections and large archives for families, clubs and
museums to different media for viewing or long term storage.

Cine Transfer to Other Formats such as MiniDV Tape, QuickTime Files and AVI Files is available. .
How it's done:- Each frame is stopped and scanned by a triple CCD high definition (HD), recording 1080 picture lines, chipset and transferred to a computer as a digital file where it is checked and enhanced. The high definition film capture enables us to capture each frame at its optimum quality. We remove any blank sections from your films, add music and titles if desired and output to any format you require from a simple DVD to watch at home, or full quality digital files for you to edit. Our cine to DVD scanning service produces excellent results with no flicker or centre hotspot.
If necessary, colour correction and film grading is undertaken during the enhancement stage. There is no additonal charge for this and ensures a quality restoration of colour balance over each full frame of your film. More detailed information about our telecine service can be found here
