How to identify your film. Super 8, Standard 8mm, 16mm film.

Super 8mm Film
Super 8mm film measures 8mm across and has sproket holes down one edge. The sproket holes on this type of film are smaller than standard 8mm film. See below.

Super 8 Sound Film
Super 8 sound film measures 8mm across & has sprocket holes down one edge & a brown tape strip down one or both sides of the film. The holes are smaller than standard 8mm film. See below.
Standard 8 Film
Standard 8 film measures 8mm across and has sprocket holes down one edge. The holes are larger than Super 8mm film. See above.
16mm Film
16mm film measures 16mm across and can have sproket holes down one or both sides of the film.
Un-Procesed Film Cartridge
We can transfer all of the above films types with the exception of unprocessed film. Unprocessed film is locked in its original camera cassette box. You will need to have the film processed by a film developer before we can transfer such film.
